For this project you will need a peace of 20 x 10 x 3 scrap wood. The runner part from a wooden pallet is ideal.
Start by drawing out your chicken design.

Next cut your design out.

Once you have your basic chicken shape, clamp and carve using a sharp chisel or carving knife.

Next stage is paint, be creative, be messy, play with colours, remove, add and see what works for you.
